Use white vinegar as an all-purpose cleaner by mixing it with equal parts of water. It’s good for pretty much everything; from getting rid of limescale to making your windows sparkle!

When life gives you lemons… make a DIY cleaning product! The acid in lemons helps to remove dirt, limescale and rust. It’s especially good for cleaning taps where dirt can often build up and become tricky to remove.

Another tip is adding lemon to steam clean your microwave. Simply fill a bowl with water and lemon slices and cook in the microwave for five minutes. Any built-up grease will be easy to remove afterwards and it’ll smell fresh, too!

3. Say bye to rust with bicarbonate of soda

Bicarbonate of soda will clean almost anything. It works its magic on rust and is also really good for cleaning your oven and fridge. A small bowl of it placed in the fridge or even sprinkled in your bin will remove any bad smells, too.

Another tip is to use bicarbonate of soda to freshen up your mattress. Simply sprinkle some on, leave for about an hour, then hoover and voila – a super clean bed!

A great tip is to use salt and water to clean stains on pans. Simply add a small amount of salt and water to your pan, let the water boil and rinse. Any tough-to-remove dirt or stains should now be easy to clean.
