First homes launched at 215-home Helsby development

North west affordable homes provider Onward Living has released the first homes for sale at its new £41m development in Helsby, Cheshire.

Pavilion Park, situated off Chester Road, comprises a collection of stylish two, three and four-bedroom homes for Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy and affordable rent.

Full of charm, character and practicality to meet the demand for affordable homeownership in a desirable location, the latest release of semi-detached and detached home styles provide the perfect space for a variety of home hunters to settle down in.

The first homes to be released at Pavilion Park are all available for Shared Ownership, with prices starting from £86,000 for a 40% share.*

Shared Ownership offers first-time buyers and those who do not currently own a home the opportunity to step onto the property ladder. Homebuyers pay a mortgage on the share they own, and pay rent to Onward Living on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required.

Then, when the time is right, buyers can purchase more shares in their homes, known as staircasing, gradually increasing the ownership of the home to eventually own it outright if they wish.

The newly released homes include the two-bedroom Tatton house type, the three-bedroom Stretton and Hartford homes, and the 4-bedroom Oakford style.

These energy efficient homes include contemporary Symphony kitchens with integrated appliances, modern bathroom suites with Porcelanosa tiles, fully turfed gardens, PV solar panels, and off-street parking.

Work on the 17-acre site originally started back in 2021 but stalled when the previous delivery partner, Lane End Developments Construction, went into administration in 2023 due to pandemic-related delays and supply cost increases.

Onward appointed national housebuilder Countryside Partnerships to take over the build of the development in 2024.

Once complete, Pavilion Park, which is supported by Homes England, will offer 100 homes for Shared Ownership, 85 affordable rent homes, and 30 properties for Rent to Buy.
