First phase launched at Ellesmere Port developmentSeptember 14, 2020 | Dan Todd
North west affordable homes provider Onward Living has released prices at its latest 27-home development near Ellesmere Port.
Sales are now open at Sycamore Gardens on Chester Road, Great Sutton, allowing home buyers the pick of the plots at this popular development.
Perfectly placed near to Cheshire Oaks, with great transport links to Chester, Liverpool and beyond, the development will offer a range of three and four-bedroom homes for shared ownership.
A total of 11 homes have been released in the first phase. They include The Maple, a three-bedroom semi-detached home available from £86,000 for a 40% share; The Birch, a three-bedroom semi-detached priced at £92,000 for a 40% share; and The Cedar, a three-bedroom semi-detached home set over three storeys, available from £94,000 for a 40% share.
The four-bedroom Aspen is due to be launched later this year, with prices yet to be announced. The first homes will be ready to move into by October, when a show home will also be launched.
The new-build homes are finished to a high specification and include contemporary fully-fitted kitchens, modern bathrooms, off-road parking and French doors which open out onto fully-turfed rear gardens.
Sandy Kelly, head of sales at Onward Living, said: “We’re really excited to finally be releasing the first phase of homes at Sycamore Gardens, and we look forward to helping buyers in the area discover what this popular development has to offer.
“We hope those who are looking to get on the property ladder in a well-connected location will take advantage of this opportunity to be one of the first to reserve a home at Sycamore Gardens. We’ve already received hundreds of enquiries, so we would encourage people to act now so they don’t miss out.”
All the homes for sale at Sycamore Gardens are available for shared ownership, which allows you to buy a percentage (between 25% and 75%) of your new home, and pay rent on the rest. Onward Living owns part of it – but you’re living there, you decorate it, and you decide when to sell.
Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and smaller mortgage. A 5% deposit on a 40% share on this development could be as a low as £4,300. It’s a sooner first step on the ladder for lots of people. At this development you can also carry on buying shares, to own it 100%.
Sycamore Gardens sits on the site of the former Sycamore Park Garden Centre in the sought-after location of Great Sutton, just minutes away from the bustling town of Ellesmere Port and a short drive from Cheshire Oaks, the UK’s largest designer outlet.
Commuters can enjoy easy access to the M53 motorway, while the nearby Capenhurst train station means you can travel to Liverpool in just over 30 minutes. There are also plans for a play area and communal open spaces to be built on the development that will create even more benefit for families.
