Onward Living celebrates double shortlist at First Time Buyer Readers’ AwardsMay 21, 2021 | Dan Todd
We are delighted to have been shortlisted in not one, but two categories at this year’s prestigious First Time Buyer Reader’s Awards.
Our Elizabethan Terrace development in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, is up for Best New Development in the North, while judges also selected The Aspen at Sycamore Gardens in the Best First-time Buyer Family Home category.
Read more about both categories below and find out how you can get involved and vote for us.
Best New Development in the North: Elizabethan Terrace
Elizabethan Terrace, our collection of 2 and 3-bedroom homes for shared ownership in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, has been recognised for standing out from the crowd whilst remaining accessible to first-time buyers.
Completed in September 2020, the spacious terraced and semi-detached homes were designed with a more modern aesthetic to help with the regeneration of the area, which was predominantly made up of former council-owned properties originally built in the 1950s.
Available from just £54,775 for a 35% share, the homes at Elizabethan Terrace provided much-needed affordable new-build homes in an area of north Manchester where it was difficult for first-time buyers to get on the property ladder.
Best First-time Buyer Family Home: The Aspen, Sycamore Gardens
The 4-bedroom Aspen house type at our recently completed Sycamore Gardens development in Great Sutton, Cheshire, has been recognised for offering a comfortable environment and realistic price that’s ideal for family living.
Starting at £106,000 for 40% shared ownership, The Aspen offers local families the opportunity to get on the property ladder in West Cheshire, which is considered to be one of the least affordable areas in the North West.
And with plenty of space, a quality specification, and an excellent location near to great schools and transport links, not to mention a children’s play area on-site, The Aspen makes the ideal home for first-time buyers and families.
Sandy Kelly, head of sales at Onward Living, said: “These prestigious awards are highly competitive, so we are thrilled to have two of our developments shortlisted.
“With the challenges we have all faced this year, this is fantastic recognition for the work and dedication that has gone into helping first-time buyers get that vital first step on the ladder.”
Now in its twelfth year, the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards are a celebration of the lengths that are gone to in order to help aspirational buyers on to the housing ladder.
Voting across all categories goes live on the First Time Buyer Awards website on Friday 21 May 2021 and closes at midnight on 6 August 2021. The winners will be announced in September.
