Whitefield development on track as scaffolding set to come down

March 19, 2020 | Dan Todd

Construction work at a new development in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, has reached a major milestone as scaffolding is due to be removed.

Onward Living’s Elizabethan Terrace scheme, located on Ribble Drive, will see 15 brand new homes for shared ownership built on the site of the former Elizabethan pub.

Contractors Tyson Construction, who are leading the build programme, remain on track to complete the new development by early June 2020, with roofs in place on all 15 homes and new kitchens and bathrooms currently being installed.

Once complete, Elizabethan Terrace will offer a mix of two and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes for shared ownership, which were priced from £54,775 for a 35% share. All the homes have now been reserved off-plan.

Sandy Kelly, head of sales at Onward Living, said: “This is a significant milestone in the development and we are really pleased with how the site is progressing.

“There has been a great deal of interest in the homes at Elizabethan Terrace, which is reflected in the fact that they have all been snapped up just six weeks after being released for sale.

“We can’t wait for the development to be completed and to see purchasers move into their new homes.”
